The artwork
As part of the release of the Ho[c]ker Ones, Steffen Mumm created a unique work of art in close collaboration with Kiyo. The modular R1 Cube in combination with the R1 Cap creates a maximum of lightness from Plexiglas. The integrated magnets give the whole thing a technical, futuristic appearance. Under the Hoker One label, Steffen Mumm presents his entire repertoire of skills on the almost transparent canvas. The work combines street art, calligraphy and sculpture, just as furniture and art come together here.
The artist
Steffen “Hoker” Mumm, is a German artist. He lives and works in Düsseldorf and is also internationally known and active. His unique style is a symbiosis of graffiti, calligraphy, illustration and other mediums and styles that he has explored experimentally over the years. In recent years he has put a special focus on his "heads", which have become his trademark.
Everything for a good cause
Makuyuni eV is a private, non-profit organization founded in 2018 that advocates for the right to education. The association was named after the place name of the first project. The goal: “Education for the people of Tanzania!”
4 million children in Tanzania should also have the option to write their name, read a book and understand the world, or pursue their dream job. What we take for granted should also be possible in Tanzania. Because education is a human right!
